Polydactyl is the solo beat-driven project of Asa Nakagawa. It is the culmination of many years of attempted self healing, spiritual exploration, pushing back against a white/male dominated music scene as a nonbinary Japanese American. The first track, Bosatsu, is dedicated to my queer/trans loved ones who I joyfully and gratefully share this planet with.

“Artists like Susumu Yokota, Joel Graham, Drexciya, and Borghesia have carried me through the most challenging parts of life and I’m happy to still be here to share this debut EP with you.”

Hex on You EP was recorded live in a park in Philly March 2021.
